Sentimental Crowd

Unexpectedly, I stumbled upon an entry in

my old moleskine journal while cleaning my room.

This is dated one year ago.

Yesterday I was waiting and smoking in front of the Cafe.
Suddenly the bum approached and was staring at me for a while.
Next, he came up and said very politely,

"Could I invite you for a coffee?"

"Excuse me?" I was taken aback.

"I would like to have a coffee with you. But not here. I will take you to the very elegant restaurant."

At once I imagined two of us sitting at the table covered with white cloth.

"Oh, thank you, but today I'm meeting somebody else."

"Ah" - he sighed. " Have you been in love recently?"

I nodded.

"I can see it in your eyes." He added and went away,
pulling the pram full of recycling papers.
